UK FCA Cancels Taj Exchange's Payment Institution Registration

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has revoked the registration of Taj Exchange Limited as a Small Payment Institution (SPI). The cancellation was made under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (PSRs), as the firm no longer meets the necessary conditions for registration.
Specifically, the authority cited the firm's failure to comply with a key requirement of the 2017 Money Laundering Regulations, which mandates inclusion in a register maintained by His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
The FCA stated the action was taken to advance its statutory objectives of consumer protection and market integrity. The cancellation became effective on April 16, 2026.
