UK Fintech GoCardless Sets Up New Office in US

​UK-based fintech GoCardless announced the opening of new office in New York to accommodate the ongoing strong growth of its North American business.

The New York office, led by Nanna Saito Nielsen, VP of Banking Operations, will serve for the company's operations in North America. At the same time, the company said that it will be hiring around the globe with ambitions to grow its headcount by more than 60% in 2021.

Nielsen stated: “The opening of our New York office signals the strength of our intent in the US. Following a successful start, we are now dedicated to creating the best payment infrastructure for our clients by expanding our US partner network and offering local operational support. This will enable us to better serve businesses across the country as the adoption of digital payment methods continues to accelerate.”

The San Francisco office will continue to lead the group's US strategy under Andrew Gilboy, general manager for North America.

Along with its two US locations, the company has other four offices in London, Paris, Munich and Melbourne.
