United Commonwealth Financial Protection Board gets FMA’s Warning
The FMA, The New Zealand Financial Markets Authority, has issued a warning regarding United Commonwealth Financial Protection Board, which falsely claimed that it is a regulator in the United States.
Unlike many of The FMA’s warnings which involve phantom companies or brokers, United Commonwealth Financial Protection Board does seem to be a properly organized and incorporated entity – just operating without an official confirmation.
The firm tells that its directive is to administer, regulate, and execute the state/federal securities regulations/laws relating to Corporate M&A(Mergers & Acquisitions).
The illegitimate company seems to do much of its regulating business. The company’s page shows that of equal importance, it liaises with such corporate and legal entities that it may come into contact with throughout any merger and acquisition. Further, it holds the responsibility to safeguard any parties involved in such transactions, deal with their undertakings in a fair and concise way.
The New Zealand’s regulator also detailed that the platform is operating under the domain of ‘www.ucfpb.org’ and is reaching out to investors using at least two email addresses– michael.young@ucfpb.org, info@ucfpb.org and an offical phone number– 001 669 200 1150.
So The watchdog suggested that investors should be alert if any United Commonwealth Financial Protection Board representative reaches out to them using these channels.
