U.S. Spot Crypto ETFs Record $238 Million Inflow, Snapping Outflow Streak
Major U.S. spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded a net inflow of approximately $238.4 million on Friday, marking a potential shift in sentiment following weeks of sustained capital withdrawals.
According to data cited from SoSoValue and Farside Investors, the inflows were driven primarily by Fidelity’s FBTC, which attracted around $108 million, and Grayscale’s GBTC, which added approximately $61.5 million. In contrast, BlackRock’s IBIT continued to register outflows, highlighting a divergence in performance among major issuers.
The positive activity on Friday extended to Ether-related ETFs, which broke an eight-day streak of outflows to post modest gains.
This rebound comes immediately after significant volatility earlier in the week; on Thursday alone, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw outflows exceeding $900 million. Despite Friday's positive numbers, the sector has faced a challenging month, with cumulative outflows from Bitcoin ETFs in November approaching $3.5 billion as Bitcoin trades in the $80,000 range.
Market observers noted that while the inflows offer a respite, the market remains fragile due to "uneven flows" and continued macroeconomic uncertainty.
