Virtu Financial’s Triton EMS Integrates with Appital Turquoise BookBuilder

The leading global market maker Virtu Financial has integrated Appital Turquoise BookBuilder, the world’s first algorithmic bookbuilding platform, with its Triton execution management system (EMS).
Triton EMS is a global, broker-neutral, multi asset-class platform that combines Virtu’s cutting-edge liquidity, execution, analytics and workflow solutions into one unified and customizable execution interface.
Appital Turquoise BookBuilder was launched last August by the equity markets technology solution Appital in partnership with Turquoise, the pan-European MTF, majority owned by London Stock Exchange Group. This enables buyside to participate in liquidity discovery, price formation and execution opportunities in multiple days’ volume in listed equities.
The integration will allow buy-side firms to receive Appital liquidity opportunities directly into their workflows and trading infrastructure.
"We are very excited to add Virtu’s Triton EMS to our community of EMS partners. Its users are now able to originate bookbuilds and participate in price formation opportunities in a market for size that is relevant to them," said Brian Guckian, Chief Development Officer of Appital.
"Our clients are always looking for new and innovative ways to seek out liquidity. Appital allows them to interact with like-minded institutions in a market for size. By integrating with Appital, asset managers are now able to access liquidity that would otherwise be latent and initiate a bookbuilding process, adding value to their overall investment processes," Melissa Ellis, Head of European Workflow Sales, at Virtu Financial continued.
