Visa to Open New Global Technology and Product Hub in Poland

Visa, a world leader in digital payments, announced its plans to open a new global Technology and Product Hub in Poland. The Poland Hub will be the first of its kind for Visa in Central and Eastern Europe and will house as many as 1,500 new tech and product hires over the next few years, as Visa invests globally to support its 24/7 development model for innovation and further boost rapid growth in digital commerce and payments.

Poland will become the paytech giant's fifth major strategic global Technology and Product Hub.

Rajat Taneja, President of Technology at Visa, said: "Poland's highly skilled workforce and vibrant IT sector make it an ideal location for us to recruit and collaborate with partners and businesses to develop new payment solutions. The next wave of our product and innovation roadmap is even more exciting as we focus on the next generation of AI, cybersecurity and the resilience and availability of our network for all who depend on it."

In addition to the European, Visa is also quite bullish on Africa's growth potential. The company has been investing in Africa for decades, working to develop local businesses. At the end of last year, Visa committed to investing US$1 billion in Africa over the next five years​ to advance resilient, innovative, and inclusive economies across the continent.
