We have also received a second letter of appreciation from the United Nations Foundation.

In many parts of the world, a single bite from a mosquito carrying the malaria parasite can plunge a child under the age of five into high fever, convulsions, or even claim a young life. Malaria—an illness that is both preventable and treatable—remains the leading killer of children worldwide, posing a persistent threat to those growing up in resource-limited regions.

This letter not only recognizes our generous sponsorship and the enthusiastic participation of EBC employees worldwide in the 2025 United to Beat Malaria 5K Run, but also pays tribute to EBC’s commitment to safeguarding children’s lives through tangible action and to upholding global corporate responsibility. This recognition belongs to every EBC colleague—each step they took helped push back the shadow of malaria and strengthened the chance for children around the world to grow up healthy.

The United Nations Foundation noted in its letter that, thanks to the steadfast commitment of global partners including EBC, the United to Beat Malaria campaign has helped protect 42 million people across 61 countries since its launch in 2006. Every protected life stands as a testament to the weight of EBC’s promise.

More than 500 EBC employees worldwide are bringing this belief to life. In addition to working with the United Nations Foundation to defeat malaria, we support the elderly and children through charitable initiatives, empower marginalized children and women alongside the Shakti Regeneration Association, and partner with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to help nurture future leaders.

As the United Nations Foundation stated: “Without committed partners like EBC, the fight to end malaria would be far more difficult.”

Together, let’s build the future.
