Webull launches mutual funds for IRA accounts
Online investment platform Webull Corp (NASDAQ:BULL) announced the introduction of mutual funds for Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), broadening its range of long-term investing and retirement solutions for U.S. clients.
Eligible IRA customers now have access to professionally managed mutual funds through the platform, facilitating more diversified portfolio construction directly within Webull. This move marks a further expansion of the firm's investment product suite aimed at addressing a wider spectrum of investor needs.
Mutual funds aggregate investor capital into diversified portfolios of stocks, bonds, and other securities overseen by professional managers. They are a common vehicle for long-term and retirement investing due to their built-in diversification and simplified access to managed strategies.
"Expanding access to mutual funds within IRA accounts allows investors to more easily diversify their portfolios and manage their retirement savings through a single platform," said Lindsay Ryan, Head of U.S. Products. "By bringing more investment choices into one streamlined experience, we're helping clients simplify long-term financial planning."
The launch is targeted at investors making retirement contributions, transferring retirement assets, or seeking to diversify long-term holdings with professionally managed products.
Key features include access to diversified mutual funds within IRAs, the availability of no-load funds for retirement investors, expanded diversification options, and improved flexibility for managing mutual fund holdings.
The feature is currently in beta release for select U.S. customers, with a full rollout to all IRA accounts expected shortly. The available fund selection will grow over time, and support for ACAT transfers of mutual fund positions is planned for a future update.
