Wirex to Introduce New Payment Method to Users in Malaysia and Indonesia

Wirex, a a non-custodial wallet connecting users with Defi services, revealed on Friday that a new payment option is now available to its non-custodial wallet, making it more accessible to APAC consumers.
Wirex has implemented local payment methods and faster bank transfers for clients located in Malaysia and Indonesia, helping them buy crypto on the mobile end, as a part of the company's efforts to make the wallet function easier to use.
The announcement came just a few weeks after Wirex introduced new payment methods for Indian users.
"Having gained a global reputation for innovation within the crypto sector since launching the Wirex app in 2014, we've released the Wirex Wallet to enable mainstream users to benefit from Defi. Extending the payment options for customers in Indonesia and Malaysia, countries characterized by low card penetration, is the next step in this," commented Pavel Matveev, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Wirex.
While the usage of digital assets has risen dramatically around the world in recent years, Southeast Asia has been among the leading cryptocurrency adopters. According to Matveev, the crypto sector's innovation will play a key part in the cryptocurrency's expanding popularity across diverse countries.
"Crypto adoption in Southeast Asia is growing at an astronomical rate, so it's important that we provide a best-in-class experience for users by offering the ultimate convenience, flexibility, and security when using the app," Matveev added.
