Morgan Stanley has announced a partnership with Wise, a global technology company specializing in cross-border payments, to enhance its foreign exchange settlement capabilities for corporate clients. This collaboration marks a significant step for Morgan Stanley, positioning it as the first investment bank to utilize the Wise Platform for corporate payment solutions.

Through this partnership, Morgan Stanley aims to provide its clients with high-speed cross-border settlements, leveraging Wise's advanced payment infrastructure. This integration allows Morgan Stanley to streamline its services, focusing on the needs of its sophisticated client base while reducing the time required for implementation. The new offering will complement Morgan Stanley's existing suite of transactional foreign exchange services aimed at corporate and institutional clients.

Steve Naudé, Managing Director of Wise Platform, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting that it represents a milestone in the growing trend of global banks adopting Wise's technology for cross-border payments. He emphasized that Morgan Stanley has a clear vision for the payment solutions it wants to offer, and this partnership will facilitate fast, cost-effective, and transparent payment options for its clients.

Samer Oweida, Global Head of Foreign Exchange and Emerging Markets at Morgan Stanley, reiterated the firm's commitment to delivering top-tier technology solutions. He noted that the partnership with Wise enables Morgan Stanley to adapt to the evolving needs of its clients while providing one of the most efficient and robust payment capabilities in the banking sector.

Wise Platform is known for its extensive global infrastructure, which includes over 65 licenses and six direct connections to payment systems. This allows Wise to complete 63% of its cross-border payments instantly, often in under 20 seconds. The partnership will also provide Morgan Stanley with access to Wise's dedicated support team, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
