Worldline Revamps Leadership Amid Strategic Shift

Payments firm Worldline has announced a broad restructuring of its executive team as part of a transformation plan aimed at reviving growth and improving cash flow.
The new appointments include Madalena Cascais Tomé as Head of Financial Services, Anika Grant as Chief People Officer, and Srikanth Seshadri as Chief Financial Officer. All are set to assume their roles between September and October. These changes follow recent leadership shifts, including appointments in merchant services and technology.
CEO Pierre-Antoine Vacheron described the reconfigured executive committee as "renewed, international, diverse and compact," tasked with accelerating the company's strategic realignment. He emphasized a shared urgency across the team to reposition Worldline as a key European payments partner.
The leadership announcement came alongside Worldline's half-year results, which reflected continued operational headwinds. Revenue fell 3.4% on an organic basis to €2.2 billion. Adjusted EBITDA was reported at €401 million, and free cash flow stood at €40 million. The company also recorded a €4.1 billion asset impairment charge linked to its transformation strategy.
For the full year, Worldline expects a slight organic revenue decline, with adjusted EBITDA projected between €825 million and €875 million, and free cash flow forecast to be neutral at the midpoint.
