XS.com announced that it has appointed Simon‑Peter Massabni as its new Head of Retail Sales. Massabni previously served as Country Manager for MENA Commercial Management at Exness and will now lead XS.com’s efforts to accelerate growth across global retail trading markets.

Massabni spent nearly three years at Exness, where he was based in Limassol, Cyprus. In his role overseeing commercial operations for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, he was responsible for shaping regional business strategies at both the director and board levels. His responsibilities included managing client acquisition and retention initiatives, overseeing partnership programs, and monitoring daily performance across key markets in the region.

Commenting on his new role, Massabni said the immediate priority will be strengthening retail sales structures, empowering internal teams, and delivering long-term value for clients through disciplined growth strategies aligned with the company’s broader vision.

At XS.com, he is expected to focus on building stronger client acquisition and retention frameworks, expanding partnerships in regulated markets, and increasing the company’s market reach. The broker did not disclose specific performance targets tied to the appointment.

Strong Background in MENA Markets

Before joining Exness, Massabni served as Head of Business Development at ILimits Invest in Beirut for around two years. During that time, he built the company’s sales department from the ground up, designing internal processes, CRM structures, hiring and training teams. According to company information, the department he led managed monthly net deposits exceeding $1 million.

His career in online trading began in 2009 at FXCM, where he joined as a Senior FX Sales representative covering Lebanon and the broader MENA region. He later advanced to Sales Manager, leading a team of sales specialists and a client retention unit. During that period, he also conducted trading education workshops, including sessions at the American University of Beirut.

Following his time at FXCM, Massabni served as Head of Sales at CFI Financial Group in Beirut for three years. He later joined ICM Capital as Head of Business Development in Lebanon before moving to ILimits Invest and subsequently Exness. Over the course of his career, he has built extensive experience developing trading businesses and sales operations across Middle Eastern markets.

Leadership Expansion at XS.com

Massabni’s appointment comes after several senior hires at XS.com over the past year. In February 2025, the broker named Stelios Pallis as Chief Technology Officer, bringing in a technology executive with experience at GT Group. Around the same time, XS.com also partnered with Brokeree Solutions to introduce copy trading capabilities to its platform.

Wael Hammad, Group Chief Commercial Officer at XS.com, said Massabni’s expertise in retail sales strategy, regional expansion, and team development makes him a valuable addition to the company’s leadership team.

Commercial Growth Backed by Regulatory Expansion

The hiring also comes amid broader regulatory expansion for XS.com. In October last year, the broker received approval from the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority, marking its eighth regulatory license. The approval came as the United Arab Emirates continues to attract a growing number of CFD and cryptocurrency firms.

Earlier in 2025, the broker also obtained a license in Mauritius, adding to its existing offshore regulatory portfolio that includes approvals in Seychelles and Labuan.

According to the company, XS.com also opened new offices in Kuwait City and Dubai during 2025 in order to be closer to clients and partners in the Gulf region. Founded in Australia in 2010, the broker now operates under multiple regulatory jurisdictions and maintains offices in several locations worldwide.

Separately, in January, Mateusz Wyka—a former operations and project management executive at Exness—was appointed CEO of online trading firm YWO after building nearly four years of experience at the Limassol-based broker.
