XTB Introduces American-Style Stock Options Under CySEC Oversight

Multi-asset broker XTB has expanded its product lineup by introducing stock options on leading global companies, marking a strategic move beyond its traditional focus on CFDs and FX trading. The new offering has debuted in the Cypriot market and operates under the supervision of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).
The newly launched instruments are American-style options that are cash-settled, allowing investors to exercise their positions without taking ownership of the underlying shares. At launch, XTB is offering standard vanilla options on 100 U.S.-listed equities, with plans to extend the product range to European stocks and further develop its options segment, according to Stockwatch.pl.
Options Demand Shifts Toward Europe

Filip Kaczmarzyk, a member of XTB's Management Board, described the rollout as a natural evolution of the broker's offering. He highlighted Cyprus as a strategic starting point, noting that it provides an opportunity to test the solution in a live environment and refine the product before considering expansion into additional jurisdictions, subject to regulatory approvals.
While options are still viewed as complex instruments in many markets, Kaczmarzyk pointed to a steady rise in client interest. He noted that more experienced investors are increasingly seeking advanced tools to better execute investment and risk management strategies. According to him, the long-standing popularity of options trading in the United States is now gradually spreading across Europe.
Focus on International Growth, Including Poland
XTB has not announced a specific timeline for rolling out the options offering in other regions. However, the broker has confirmed its continued interest in securing the necessary regulatory permissions in Poland, while currently leveraging its CySEC authorization to operate internationally.
Founded in 2002, the XTB Group has built its presence across multiple foreign markets, offering both OTC and exchange-traded financial instruments. The company has been publicly listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2016.
