Alvin Kan Moves to Bitget Wallet as COO

Bitget Wallet, a global leading Web3 trading wallet, has onboarded former Binance alum Alvin Kan as new Chief Operating Officer (COO), tasked him with leading its global growth strategy and coordinating brand development, operations, and growth initiatives.

Alvin joins Bitget Wallet from Sei Labs, which builds open sourced technology for the high-performance Sei Blockchain. He worked as Head of Asia at the company. Before that, he served Binance, where he was Head of Ecosystem Growth (BNB Chain) after Data Analytics Manager role.

Previously, Alvin spent almost nine years at LinkedIn, with roles including Head of Insights, APAC Talent & Learning Solutions, and Relationship Manager.

Bitget Wallet currently is aimed at global expansion in 2024. In the new role, Alvin will focus on acquiring new users, expanding the roster of supported assets, and exploring novel opportunities. 

In addition, he will be spearheading the establishment of a more adaptive team structure, geared towards swift responses to market dynamics and keen recognition of emerging narratives and assets.

In July 2023, crypto trading platform Bitget unveiled its plans to enter the Middle East ​and hire up to 60 new employees, looking for opportunities in Bahrain and the UAE.
