ATFX UK Hires Gonzalo Canete as Chief Market Strategist from Swissquote

AT Global Markets UK Limited, known as ATFX UK, the UK subsidiary of retail FX broker ATFX, has named former Swissquote exec Gonzalo Canete as Chief Market Strategist.

Before joining ATFX UK, Gonzalo has spent more than nine years at the Swiss leader in online banking Swissquote, with roles including Head of Desk & Associate Director and Senior Business Manager & Head of Education, Spanish, etc.

Prior to Swissquote, he worked at Saxo Bank, a multi-asset trading and investing platform, focused on Premium Clients Trading Services. Also, he has worked as Sales Executive & Market Analyst at CMC Markets, a leading global provider of financial spread betting and CFDs, and Head of Trading Desk at Hanseatic Brokerhouse Financial Services Gmbh.

Earlier, Gonzalo has served several banks including Bankinter, Grupo Banco Popular and CaixaBank.

The latest appointment follows ATFX UK’s hire of State Street’s Chris James​ as Head of Liquidity Management.
