Binance, Flow Traders, ThinkMarkets and Other Four Companies Are Hiring Now
Recently, the banking industry seems to be ushering in a new wave of layoffs.
Morgan Stanley plans to start cutting about 50 investment banking jobs in Asia, excluding Japan, this week, while rival bank HSBC also initiated a new round of layoffs with about 30 dealmakers in Asia expected to be affected.
UBS Group is also planning further job cuts, which could impact over a hundred positions across its global investment bank. Citi, the third-largest U.S. lender, has reduced its workforce by 2,000 employees after completing a reorganization aimed at improving profits and streamlining management layers.
In the forex industry, Independent broker-dealer giant Osaic conducted a round of layoffs earlier this week, though the exact number and types of employees affected are unclear. One laid-off Osaic staffer mentioned that they were informed of their termination on Monday morning and given two weeks' notice.
Furthermore, some fintech companies and consulting firms have also implemented job cuts. Google's Chief Financial Officer, Ruth Porat, announced that the company's finance teams would undergo restructuring, which could involve layoffs.
Consulting firm EY has made 148 positions redundant and informed its staff that they have one week to find a new role within the firm or leave, as the professional services sector continues to struggle. Similarly, McKinsey, an American multinational, is preparing to cut approximately 360 jobs across its design, data engineering, cloud, and software divisions.
Despite the ongoing layoffs, the current job market is not as dire as one may think. The global leading crypto exchange Binance is hiring a Senior Risk Analyst to research and analyze risk patterns occurred on Binance platforms, using data driven thinking and quantitative analysis methodologies to identify, measure, contain and mitigate risks.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, major in mathematics, statistics, computer science, etc.;
At least three years of data analysis or data mining related work experience, risk analysis background of financial derivatives (futures contracts, leverage trading, etc.) or eComm platforms is preferred. Knowledge of blockchain, payment, risk domain is plus credit;
Proficient in SQL language and at least one professional analysis tool, such as Python and R;
Good willingness and ability to learn, outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems, and good coordination and communication.
2. FxPro - Payments Manager
FxPro, an international fintech company, is looking for a Payments Manager who will be managing and improving its organization's financial performance and direct the company's operations.
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in accounting, business, or finance;
3-5+ years of related work experience in the Finance/Forex industry;
