BitMEX Postpones Spot Trading for BMEX Due to Unfavorable Market Conditions

Cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX today issues a notice, telling BitMEX traders that it has made the decision to postpone the listing of the BMEX Token on its spot exchange.

Talking about the reason for the decision, the company said that the present market conditions are not ideal, and they want to list the token in an environment that gives it the best chance to reward its holders.

"We have seen our share over the years and stayed strong, even with Bitcoin at much lower levels. As we look to the future, listing BMEX on our spot exchange remains our top priority and we hope to celebrate this milestone with you soon,"the company said.

The announcement comes after the exchange launched full version of its app—BitMEX Mobile, which is now ready for download, bringing with it all-new features - spot and crypto derivatives trading.

Earlier this month, BitMEX has announced plans to increase compliance with the European sanctions against Russia by preparing to enforce major restrictions for its Russian users.
