Bitpanda Raises $263 Million in Series C Funding

Fazzaco learned that Bitpanda, a cryptocurrency trading platform, has raised $263 million in a Series C funding round, which was led by Valar Ventures with participation from Alan Howard and REDO Ventures, as well as existing investors LeadBlock Partners and Jump Capital.

Founded in 2014, Bitpanda is a Vienna-based brokerage firm that lets people buy and sell cryptocurrencies and precious metals. The company also began testing a service this year that lets users trade stocks around the clock.
In December 2020, Fazzaco reported that Bitpanda registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and therefore, be regulated in France.
