BofA Merrill Lynch Exec Simon Camilleri Moves to Saxo UK as COO

Fazzaco learned that Saxo UK, the London-based unit of Saxo Bank which is a retail FX and CFDs broker, has hired Simon Camilleri from Bank of America Merrill Lynch as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Simon has spent more than eighteen years at BofA Merrill Lynch. He joined the firm as a Business Support Manager in the Global Wealth Management arm, then in 2015 was promoted to Director and COO of its Global Rates Trading business.

Simon will be succeeding the role of Peter Morris, who parted ways with Saxo UK this summer. He will also become a member of the Board of Directors of Saxo Capital Markets UK Ltd, a FCA regulated branch of Saxo Bank.

Last month, Fazzaco reported that Saxo Bank continued making changes to senior leaderships, with the appointment of Emil Valdemar Madsen​ as its new Global Head of Marketing & Brand.
