BUX Names Salim Sebbata Managing Director of Stryk

Fazzaco learned that Europe's fastest-growing neobroker BUX has named Salim Sebbata, the Chief Executive Officer of its UK office, as Managing Director at Stryk.

The broker rebranded its trading platform to Stryk in July.

According to Salim's LinkedIn profile, he began the new role in July while still serving as Chief Executive Officer UK - Global MD Derivatives at BUX.

The veteran, with 24 years of leadership experience in the financial industry, joined the broker in July 2021 from Livemarkets where he was Executive Director (SMF3).

Previously, Salim once worked in the Middle East where he spent almost 20 years holding key positions at Trade Capital Holding, Finior Capital Limited, Alpha Consulting FZE, CMC Markets, Mubasher Global, Mubasher Financial Services B.S.C C as well as E*TRADE Financial.

Salim was Head of Middle East - Consultant at CMC Markets from Apr 2016 to Apr 2018. At E*TRADE Financial, he moved from London to United Arab Emirates while serving as many senior roles during his 7 year's career at the company, which includes Board Member, Vice President and Head of Middle East as well as Head of B2B.

In April 1997, Salim began his career at Merrill Lynch, one of the largest wealth management businesses in the world, as Vice President of Private Banking.

Before this new appointment, BUX appointed Niek van Rens as Chief Operating Officer in June to strengthen its leadership. Also, the broker has launched its zero-commission investing app, Bux Zero, in Italy​ to expand European footprint.
