Capital.com Bags New Licence, Grows Presence in Middle East

London-based retail FX and CFDs broker Capital.com has secured a Category 1 license from the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), expanding operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
With this new operational liccense, the broker can operate in UAE as a financial products dealer, an international market trading broker, and a trading broker of OTC derivatives and currencies in the spot market.
"We've received a Cat 1 license by SCA in the UAE. The GCC is a tremendously important market for us and we can't wait to get started from our new offices in Emirates Towers," said Tarik Chebib, CEO Middle East of Capital.com, in a LinkedIn post.
In mid-March, Fazzaco reported that Capital.com has now suspended new client registrations for its UK entity.
