CMC Markets Taps Albert Soleiman as Chief Financial Officer

CMC Markets, a leading global provider of online trading, announced the appointment of Albert Soleiman as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director, succeeding the company CFO, Euan Marshall, who will leave the company in January 2024.
Albert first joined CMC in November 2005 and was with the group till November 2019 before rejoining the firm a year later to lead its CMC Invest. From November 2019 to June 2020, he held the position of Global Tax Director at Bitfury, a leading blockchain technology company, for eight months. Previously, Albert had also served as tax advisors at leading professional accounting firms, including KPMG US and William Buck.
CMC Invest is a key element of CMC's strategy to diversify the business and leverage its technologies and which enables its clients to generate long-term wealth through its investing platforms, CMC Markets explained.
Albert earned his Bachelor's Degree of Business, Accountancy from RMIT University in 2000. Additionally, he is a qualified Chartered Accountant accredited by CA ANZ.
James Richards, Chairman of CMC Markets, commented on the appointment: "Albert has a deep knowledge of the Group which will support the execution of our diversification strategy. We have worked closely with Albert as he has developed the CMC Invest business and I look forward to working with him as a Board member."
