Credit Suisse FX Sales Exec Rory Barnes Joins UBS

Fazzaco learned that UBS, a multinational investment bank and financial services company founded and based in Switzerland, has announced the appointment of Rory Barnes as its Director of FX Prime Brokerage Sales.

​Rory brings with a wealth of experience in FX sales. In his new role, he will be based in London, United Kingdom. As seen on his Linkedin profile, Rory joined UBS from the bank's rival Credit Suisse, where he has been serving as Vice President eFX Sales EMEA since March 2020.

Before this role, FXSpotStream LLC procured him as an Assistant Vice President Sales from October 2015. OANDA utilised his services as Forex Specialist from February 2014 to September 2015. Earlier in his career, Rory also held various positions at companies like La Fosse Associates and Robert Bosch GmbH.

As Fazzaco previously reported, UBS's Chief Risk Officer Christian Bluhm​ has decided to step down, who will be replaced by Damian Vogel, the current Chief Risk Officer for UBS's Global Wealth Management (GWM) business. Damian will also join UBS´s Group Executive Board at the beginning of May 2023.
