Crypto.com Secures Virtual Asset Service Provider Registration in Ireland

After obtaining full approval from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), Crypto.com, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, announced on Tuesday (June 11) that it has secured approval as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) from the Central Bank of Ireland following a thorough review.
The new approval allows Crypto.com to extend its services in Ireland, including crypto-to-fiat exchanges and fiat wallets.
Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, said: "This approval from the Central Bank of Ireland is the latest testament to our commitment to compliance and responsible innovation. We are excited to broaden our offering in Ireland, enabling consumers to engage with the most comprehensive crypto product offering."
Crypto.com's global presence continues to grow. Over the past year, the company has secured operating licenses in various countries, including Singapore, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK.
However, the company also faced challenges in its expansion efforts. In April of this year, South Korean regulators uncovered irregularities related to money laundering in its platform data. In response, Crypto.com postponed the scheduled app launch on April 29 to cooperate with the regulatory investigation.
