David Rego Promoted to Global Head of Payments, Transaction Banking at StanChart

Standard Chartered (StanChart) has named David Rego as Global Head of Payments, Transaction Banking, with remits of boosting the transformation of the bank's payments business and leading the team in the creation of market-leading solutions that cater to the growing needs of clients.
David will remain with the current role of Global Head of Liquidity, Deposits and Escrow Solutions, with his successor to be announced in due course. On this position, he focuses on P&L management of the transaction banking demand deposits portfolio, expanding the liquidity management solution set, growing the escrow business, and building out third party money solutions.
David joined the bank in 2007 as Director, Transaction Banking. Prior to that, he has been Senior Business Consultant at ANZ for more than four years.
In his new role, David will report to Philip Panaino, Global Head of Cash, Transaction Banking.

The latest appointment follows StanChart appointing last month João Galvão as Head of Trade Sales, Transaction Banking, Americas.
