Deutsche Börse Appoints Marc Peter Klein as Chief Compliance Officer

Deutsche Börse has announced the appointment of Marc Peter Klein as Chief Compliance Officer, effective on 1 January 2023.
Klein will join Deutsche Börse from Deutsche Bank AG, where he has been working as Head Business Line AFC Corporate and Investment Bank Germany & EMEA for more than 7 years. He has over 15 years of experience in the compliance field, having held roles at Barclays, DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale Luxemburg S.A. and WestLB International Luxembourg S.A.. He has also been working as associate professor at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management from May 2015.
Klein studied at the University of Trier and the London Business School and is a qualified and certified lawyer in bank and capital markets law.
Heike Eckert, member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse responsible for HR & Compliance, said: "I am delighted to welcome Marc Peter Klein to Deutsche Börse. The appointment is the first high-level change announced by Deutsche Börse in three months. In May, Shannon Anastasia Johnston was elected as shareholder representative on the exchange's supervisory board.
