Blockchain - Argo Blockchain Director Raghav Chopra Steps Down

Argo Blockchain plc has confirmed the resignation of Director Raghav Chopra, effective 6 August 2025. In a statement, the company said, "The Board wishes to thank Mr. Chopra for his service and contribution to the Company during his tenure and wishes him well in his future endeavours."

Bank - Citi Names Jig Patel to Lead Prime Finance for JANA and Asia South

Citi has appointed Jig Patel as head of prime finance for Japan, Asia North, Australia (JANA) and Asia South. Patel will be based in Hong Kong and will play a key role in advancing the bank's prime finance strategy and capabilities across these regions.

In his new role, Patel will have broad responsibility over prime product, stock borrow and lending, synthetic prime brokerage, and funding trading. He will also oversee business risk management and the client executive function, ensuring alignment with Citi's operational and risk frameworks.

Bank - ANZ Appoints Ender Tanar to Lead Japan Operations

ANZ has named Ender Tanar as its new country head for Japan, a position that will require regulatory approval before becoming official. Tanar has served as the bank's country head for Germany for seven years and previously worked in senior positions at Lloyds Bank, Mizuho, KPMG, and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

He will report to Simon Ireland, ANZ's managing director for international operations. In announcing the appointment, Ireland highlighted the bank's outlook for its Japanese business. "There are significant opportunities in Japan, particularly in our Markets, Financial Institutions, and Debt Capital Markets businesses," he said. "I'm confident Ender is the right person to take our business in Japan into the next chapter."

Broker - GODO Appoints Sary Hamzah as Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Global Expansion​

GODO Capital Markets is pleased to announce the appointment of Sary Hamzah as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). With over 16 years of leadership experience in FX and metals brokerage across North America and the Middle East, Hamzah will lead GODO's global growth initiatives and revenue strategies.

Prior to joining GODO, Hamzah served as General Manager of Traze Securities LLC, where he played a pivotal role in securing a Category 1 license from the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority. He also built the company's core regulatory team and established key banking and payment service provider relationships. Over nearly six years with Traze's parent company, Zeal Holdings Limited, Hamzah contributed to its international expansion, growing the firm's footprint to four regional offices, including Dubai.
