1. DXtrade Platform Receives Devexa Chatbot Widget​

Devexperts has integrated Devexa, an AI-powered chatbot for support and sales desks with DXtrade, a trading platform for FX/CFD/crypto brokers, allowing traders to communicate directly in web platform.

The combination saves traders' time to open another browser tab as it provides a chat widget on a web trading terminal, through which traders can receive instant support and personalized marketing offers from their broker.

2. OANDA Securities Stops Downloads for fxTrade's Desktop Version, Raises Margin Rates for USD/JPY

OANDA Securities, the Japanese unit of the global leading online multi-asset broker OANDA, has stopped new downloads of the desktop version of its fxTrade trading platform.

Meanwhile, the Japanese subsidiary also issued a notice of changes in the margin rate for USD/JPY, raising from the previous 2% to 2.2%, effective January 30, 2023.

3. CySEC Exposes 5 More Fraudulent Websites: Survey Shows Less than 1/3 Investors Check Websites​

In a survey, the Cyprus Securities And Exchange Commission (CySEC) carried out a study on the behaviors and habits of investors in Europe with the rise of complex financial technologies and the widespread use of social media to promote investments.

Also, the Cypriot regulator issued a list of company websites at the same day, none of the five listed websites belong to any Cypriot Investment Firms (CIFs).

4. Over 34K Paypal Users' Accounts Affected in Cyberattack

The accounts of 34,942 PayPal users were hacked between the 2nd and 6th of December 2022 by unauthorised parties through a credential stuffing attack. Hackers potentially gained access to customers' personal data, including their name, address, date of birth, tax ID number, and social security number.

PayPal has provided victims of the data breach with free access to Equifax identity monitoring services for two years.

5. Veteran FX Dealer Anthony Darvall Leaves easyMarkets to Launch a Fintech Startup​

Anthony Darvall, APAC Head of FX Dealer at easyMarkets, a leading global FX and CFDs broker, has left the company to launch a web 3.0 fintech startup called Traderflow.

It is reported that Darvall has planned to cooperate with "some other FX veterans" to officially launch Traderflow in February. 

6. Tixee Adds Match-Prime Liquidity as Its Liquidity Provider

Multi-asset broker Tixee decided to cooperate with Match-Prime, a forex and CFD liquidity provider, authorised and regulated by CySEC.

Tixee has entered the Match-Prime liquidity pool, which consists of over 2000 trading instruments and 9 asset classes, thus responding to the growing needs of its  clientele. 

7. Klelia Orphanidou Named as B2B Head of Regulatory Compliance at Finalto​

Finalto, a leading global financial service provider, has appointed Klelia Orphanidou as the firm's B2B Head of Regulatory Compliance. She will be based in Londun and manage FCA regulated areas of the business.

Orphanidou has been with the group for nearly 9 years, having previously held the position of MLRO and Compliance Officer for Finalto's CySEC regulated entities.
