Interactive Brokers' Net Revenues for Q3 2023 Climb 44.9%

Interactive Brokers, a US-based automated global electronic broker, has released its financial results for the third quarter of 2023 ended September 30, 2023, indicating a continuous strong performance.
The net revenues for Q3 2023 reached $1,145 million, an increase of 44.9% from Q2 2022's $790 million. This figure was 14.5% higher over Q2 2023's $1,000 million, which rose 52.4% on a yearly basis.
Commission revenue for the quarter was $333 million, up 4% from the year-ago quarter's $320 million.
Net income stood at $772 million, surging 60.0% from $483 million in the last same period. Income before income taxes climbed 60.6% to $840 million, with net interest income up 55.0% to $733 million.
The quarterly pretax profit margin came in at 73%, compared to 66% in the year-ago quarter. Execution, clearing and distribution fees expenses went up 14% to $98 million.
In late September, Fazzaco reported that Interactive Brokers has consolidated its European brokerage business, merging the operations of its Budapest Hungary - based central European subsidiary, Interactive Brokers Central Europe, into the operations of its Interactive Brokers Ireland. The Group believes that the combination of its European operations will significantly improve its operational efficiency while retaining its key talent teams and regional client focus.
