Interactive Brokers Reports 13% YoY Rise in DARTs for December 2023

Interactive Brokers, a US-based automated global electronic broker, has released its monthly performance for December 2023, unveiling continued increase across key financial metrics.
Daily average revenue trades (DARTs) on the Interactive Brokers platform came in at 1.972 million in December, growing 13 percent on a yearly basis and 4 percent from November.
Client equity at the end of the month surged 39 percent over the year-ago month to $426 billion. Compared to the prior month, the figure was 5 percent higher. Besides, client margin loan balances increased 14 percent over the last same period to $44.4 billion, with client credit balances up 10 percent to $104.5 billion.
The client accounts totaled 2.56 million at the month-end, rising 23 percent year-over-year. The Average commission per cleared Commissionable Order was $3.17 including exchange, clearing and regulatory fees.
In addition, the broker has named veteran analyst Richard Repetto as an independent director.
