Kypros Zoumidou Succeeds Peter Hetherington as CEO of Capital.com

Fazzaco learned that Kypros Zoumidou, the current Chief Commercial Officer of Capital.com, a Forex and CFDs broker, has been named as the new CEO of the company, succeeding Peter Hetherington.

Based on his LinkedIn profile, Kypros joined Capital.com as Managing Director, UK in January 2022. In his new role, he will steer the company towards expansion into emerging markets while prioritising innovative product development and a robust technology infrastructure.

Before Capital.com, Kypros spent about twelve years at IG Group, a global online trading company providing CFDs and Forex, with roles including Commercial Director, International, CEO of BrightPool, IG's financial market making business delivering liquidity to exchanges, Head of Compliance (UK and Europe), etc.

The outgoing CEO Peter Hetherington will remain as an advisor until 2026 to ensure a smooth transition and to provide strategic guidance to Capital.com.

The latest appointment follows Capital.com's hiring Sheena Kanabar​ as Chief Compliance Officer.
