Nomura's Total Revenue Doubles in H1 FY23/24

Nomura Holdings, Inc., a Japanese financial holding company, has today released its financial results for six months ended September 30, 2023 (H1 FY23/24), unveiling an overall surge in key financial metrics during the period.

Nomura generated total revenue of 1,906.1 billion yen in H1 FY23/24, an increase of 102.0% from the year-ago semester's 943.8 billion yen.

Net revenue for the period stood at 716.7 billion yen, 16.2% higher over the last same period's 617.0 billion yen. In Q1 FY23/24​, the company produced net revenue of 348.9 billion yen. This means that net revenue for Q2 FY23/24 was 367.8 billion yen.

Income before income taxes surged 138.4% on a yearly basis to 103.0 billion yen. Net income attributable to Nomura Holdings, Inc. Shareholders was 58.6 billion yen, climbing 217.1% from 18.5 billion yen in H1 Y22/23. Diluted-Net income attributable to company shareholders per share rose from 5.91 yen to 18.62 yen.

At the end of the period, Nomura held total assets of 54,815.3 billion yen, up from 47,771.8 billion in the year-ago semester.
