Nuvei Completes Acquisition of Simplex

Fazzaco learned that Canadian payments processing firm Nuvei Corporation (“Nuvei”) has completed the acquisition of payment solution provider SimplexCC Ltd. (“Simplex”).

This aquisition was firstly announced in earlier May. According to the official press release, Nuvei intends to offer Simplex’s advanced capabilities and enhanced solutions to its merchants across all verticals, similarly introducing all of Nuvei’s product solutions and capabilities to Simplex’s customers.

Founded in 2014, Simplex has grown into a leading fiat-cryptocurrency gateway connecting market participants including exchanges, brokers, wallet and liquidity providers.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, Nuvei's wholly owned FCA regulated affiliate has obtained the scheme licenses​ to continue acquiring and processing Mastercard and Visa payments for merchants in the UK beyond the expiry of the FCA Temporary Permissions Regime.
