PayRetailers Becomes Sponsor of Superliga Americana de Rugby 2022

PayRetailers, a payment gateway designed to handle mass online payments in Latin America, has signed a sponsorship deal with Superliga Americana de Rugby (SLAR), which was founded in 1988 as the South American Rugby Confederation with the objective of promoting the dissemination, development and improvement of amateur rugby in South American countries.

Under the signed agreements, SLAR and PayRetailers will collaborate to develop platforms and services that provide benefits and efficiencies for the rugby family, including ticket sales and merchandising.

“The addition of a Fintech (financial and technological company) in full expansion, which seeks to achieve greater financial integration in the region, is something that fills us with pride,”said Guillermo Altmann, Commercial Manager of South America Rugby.

Sports sponsorships have turned out to be one of the preferred marketing channels for financial services companies to create brand recognition. Earlier this month, Cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com has signed a sponsorship deal with Angel City Football Club (ACFC)​, a planned National Women's Soccer League expansion team that is expected to begin play in 2022.

Founded in 2017, PayRetailers has offices in Europe and Latin America, operating in more than 25 countries. The sponsorship deal allows the company to expose its brand in South America and around the world through the presence in stadiums, activations, broadcasts and digital assets.
