Prime Trust Reports 2000% Yearly Jump in 2021 New Accounts

Prime Trust, the technology-driven financial institution that provides financial infrastructure for fintech innovators, has release its key metrics for 2021, reporting a strong revenue growth, explosive growth in new accounts opened via Prime Trust APIs and continued team expansion.
In the year of 2021, Prime Trust’s assets under custody have increased 280% on a yearly basis. The company processed 300 million API calls, and settled up to $3.5 billion per month.
In 2021, hundreds of industry-leading names chose Prime Trust in 2021, leading to a 2000% increase in new accounts, all opened via its API platform. New customers include FTX, Fold, Kado, Kash.io, Securitize and OnRamp Invest.
Moreover, Prime Trust saw an increase of crypto apps with more than 45% growth in its customer base, and the company expects this trend to continue into 2022.

Over the past year, the company has raised $64 million in a Series A funding round led by the venture capital firm Mercato Partners with the participation from Samsung Next, Nationwide, Commerce Ventures, Ayon Capital, and Kraken Ventures, among others. In just one year, Prime Trust’s team has more than doubled in head count.
Prime Trust has been able to accelerate its offerings and meet the growing needs of fintech innovators. The company has expanded its liquidity pool and added a white-label debit card program accessible to all institutional customers who use their custody solutions.
