Prop Firms GFT Resumes MT 4 Access Following Licensing Disruption

In a recent update, prop trading firm Goat Funded Trader (GFT) has announced the restoration of MetaTrader 4 (MT4) access for its clients after the disconnection by Purple Trading in February (A Whirlwind Week for Prop Firms).
Everything You Want to Know about Prop Trading
GFT, alongside firms like Funded Engineer and AquaFunded, had been utilizing MetaTrader services through Purple Trading, which provided grey-labeled licenses to prop trading entities. However, in February 2024, MetaQuotes initiated a crackdown on the use of its platforms within the proprietary trading sector, prompting Purple Trading to discontinue its services to these firms.
During the interim period, affected firms transitioned to alternative platforms, yet the absence of MetaTrader 4 and 5 was keenly felt, given their popularity among retail investors.
According to information shared on social media, GFT has now resolved its licensing issues and reintroduced MT4 access to its clients. This was made possible through the implementation of proprietary technological solutions developed in-house by GFT.
The reinstatement of MT4 access is expected to provide GFT clients with renewed opportunities and enhanced trading capabilities moving forward.
