Rakuten Securities Introduces Investment AI Assistant Combined with ChatGPT

Rakuten Securities, Inc., one of the three largest Forex brokers in the world, has introduced "Investment AI Assistant (beta version)", a new AI chat service which is jointly developed with its parent company, Rakuten Group.

Reportedly, the new tool is with an AI model originally developed by Rakuten and an AI product that combines ChatGPT. It is designed to empower novice investors with investment knowledge. Since COVID-19 pandemic, the number of accounts opened at Rakuten Securities has risen significantly, with more people beginning trading for the first time.

Currently, Investment AI Assistant is only available in a beta version, with the number of users being limited.

In May, Fazzaco reported that Rakuten Securities generated operating revenue for the first quarter of 2023 at JPY 24,633 million, 5.7% higher than JPY 23,312 million in the year-ago quarter.

Besides, the company has sold its Australian business​, Rakuten Securities Australia Pty Ltd, to ATFX, a global leading online trading CFDs broker.
