SDX Announces Adoption of Digital Token Identifier ISO Standard

SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), part of SIX Group and the world's first end-to-end platform for digital assets, has become the first private distributed ledger technology (DLT)-based financial market infrastructure to adopt the ISO 24165 DTI Standard.
The DTI (Digital Token Identifier) ISO standard is a unique identifier for digital ledgers, tokens, and cryptocurrencies. Regulators can use DTIs to supervise digital asset transactions, ensure compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements, and monitor risks associated with global stablecoins and other digital assets. The DTI ISO 24165 standard is managed by the Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF), a non-profit division created by the technology-led solutions provider Etrading Software.
Sassan Danesh, CEO of Etrading Software, commented: "We are delighted to issue a DTI to SDX's DL and welcome SDX's adoption of the DTIs in their platform. This is another important landmark for the industry to be able to identify digital assets in a standardized way."
Alex Kech, Head of Digital Securities at SDX, said: "SDX uses DTIs to identify currently crypto currencies and soon digital securities on our platform. The last will be even more critical as we start exploring issuance or administration of digital securities on private and public blockchains."
SDX was approved by the Swiss FINMA in August 2021 to operate a stock exchange and a central securities depository for digital assets in Switzerland. In June last year, the company launched SDX Web3 Services, a new service portfolio specifically designed for institutional clients, aimed at supporting the safe and secure adoption of the next iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchain technology and decentralized applications. Two months later, the newly launched business unit introduced its non-custodial Ethereum staking service, enabling reliable and secure management of Ethereum validator nodes through a fully managed, API based infrastructure.
