State Street Names Arindam Banerrji as Country Head for India

State Street Corporation (State Street) announced Wednesday, October 4, 2023, that it has named Arindam Banerrji as Country Head for India, responsible for leading the growth the transformation of the company's operations in the region.

Banerrji will beaded in Bengaluru and report to Lou Maiuri, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Investment Services of State Street.

With over 20 years of banking experience, Banerrji joins State Street from Wells Fargo, where he most recently worked as EVP & Managing Director for India and the Philippines. Moreover, he had previously held leading roles at Ernst & Young India, Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, Larsen & Toubro, and Price Waterhouse.

Lou Maiuri, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Investment Services of State Street, commented on the appointment: "India has been an epicenter for our delivery operations for nearly two decades and will continue to play an important role in supporting our clients globally. Arindam's significant depth and breadth of expertise, including diverse, cross-functional, and global experiences, coupled with his deep understanding of the financial services sector, will help us enable productivity and transformation across our operations in India."

State Street has been continuously expanding its global presence. Late last month, the Group announced that it opened a new headquarters building in Boston​, just three months after the establishment of its new office in Colombia​.
