TFX Reports 6.2% MoM Decline in FX Futures Trading for July

The Tokyo Financial Exchange (TFX) has posted its trading volume figures for July 2021, which disclosed that the total trading volume of FX Daily Futures contracts (Click 365) stood at 1,988,246, with a MoM decrease of 6.2%, and a YoY increase of 6.1%.
Besides, Click 365’s average daily trading volume was 90,376. In detail, the US Dollar-Japanese Yen pair remained the most traded currency pairs, with the volume of 430,514, down 7.6% MoM, but up 3.8% YoY. It was followed by Mexican Peso-Japanese Yen and South African Rand-Japanese Yen, which showed a sharp drop of 33.4%, and 8.1% MoM respectively. However, the trading volume of British Pound-Japanese Yen and Australian Dollar-Japanese Yen boomed.
Regarding Equity Index Daily Futures contracts, its total trading volume was 3,586,631, surging dramatically by 48.1% MoM and 378.0% YoY. And the average daily trading volume was 163,029.
Additionally, combined trading volume for all TFX products was 12,995,718, increasing by 46.0% MoM and 392.2% YoY, and the average daily trading volume reached 590,726.
Last month, Fazzaco reported that TFX released its trading volume in June 2021, showing a monthly recovery in FX Daily Futures contracts, enjoying a MoM increase of 11.6% over that of May.
