Top 10 Crypto Exchanges Spot Volumes Downsize by 20.12% in January 2025

Fazzaco has compiled the performance of the top 10 crypto exchanges based on spot trading volume data from January 2025. The dramatic surge in trading activity witnessed in December amid market optimism showed a 20.12% month-over-month contraction in January, restoring a degree of rationality to market scale. Detailed statistics are as follows:

The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange had a spot trading volume of US$801.1 billion in January, a 19.89% drop from US$1 trillion in December.
The Dubai-based crypto exchange Bybit had a spot trading volume of US$233.26 billion in January, down 9.34% from US$257.3 billion in December.
The Korean crypto exchange Upbit had a spot trading volume of US$187.87 billion in January, down 33.71% from US$283.39 billion in December, making it the biggest drop of the month.
The leading US exchange Coinbase had a spot trading volume of US$158.96 billion in January, down 17.15% from US$191.87 billion in December.
OKX had a spot trading volume of US$135.59 billion in January, down 23.73% from US$177.78 billion in December.
HTX had a spot trading volume of US$87.86 billion in January, down 7.65% from US$95.14 billion in December.
The crypto exchange Gate.io, which was first established in China in 2013 and later moved to the Cayman Islands, had a spot trading volume of US$70.98 billion in January, down 32.02% from US$104.42 billion in December.
Kraken had a spot trading volume of US$50.58 billion in January, down 9.53% from US$55.91 billion in December.
The offshore-regulated crypto exchange Kucoin had a spot trading volume of US$46.62 billion in January, down 12.38% from US$53.21 billion in December.
LMAX Digital is a crypto exchange operated by the UK FCA-regulated LMAX Group. It had a spot trading volume of US$8.73 billion in January, down 27.79% from US$11.26 billion in December.
