Top 10 Crypto Exchanges Spot Volumes Drop 12% in April 2025

Fazzaco has compiled the performance of the top 10 crypto exchanges based on spot trading volume data for April 2025. Overall, the total spot trading volume for these ten exchanges decreased by approximately 12% in April compared to March. While most exchanges in this statistic saw a decline in trading volume, Bybit, Gate.io, and Kucoin bucked the trend with an increase. Detailed data is shown below:

The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, had a spot trading volume of US$483.08 billion in April, a 17.20% decrease from US$583.45 billion in March.
OKX had a spot trading volume of US$89.74 billion in April, a 7.33% decrease from US$96.84 billion in March.
The leading US exchange, Coinbase, had a spot trading volume of US$89.59 billion in April, a 12.24% decrease from US$102.08 billion in March.
The Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange, Bybit, had a spot trading volume of US$85.48 billion in April, a 1.39% increase from US$84.31 billion in March. Bybit was one of the exchanges to achieve an increase in April.
The Korean cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, had a spot trading volume of US$81.95 billion in April, a 4.52% decrease from US$85.83 billion in March.
HTX had a spot trading volume of US$69.43 billion in April, a 25.00% decrease from US$92.56 billion in March.
The cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io, which was first established in China and later moved to the Cayman Islands, had a spot trading volume of US$57.37 billion in April, a 16.04% increase from US$49.44 billion in March. Gate.io was one of the exchanges to achieve an increase in April and had the largest percentage increase this month.
Kraken had a spot trading volume of US$33.48 billion in April, a 3.85% decrease from US$34.82 billion in March.
The offshore-regulated cryptocurrency exchange, Kucoin, had a spot trading volume of US$32.82 billion in April, a 15.24% increase from US$28.48 billion in March. Kucoin was one of the exchanges to achieve an increase in April.
LMAX Digital is a cryptocurrency exchange operated by the UK FCA-regulated LMAX Group. It had a spot trading volume of US$4.89 billion in April, a 25.80% decrease from US$6.59 billion in March. LMAX Digital had the largest percentage decrease in April.
