Top 10 Exchanges See 4.1% Rise in August Crypto Spot Volume

Fazzaco has compiled the performance of the top 10 crypto exchanges based on spot trading volume data for August 2025. Overall, the total spot trading volume for these ten exchanges rose by 4.1% in August compared to July. Six exchanges recorded a rise in trading volume, yet the other four saw the opposite. The market activity remains largely unchanged.

Detailed data is as follows:
The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, reported a spot trading volume of US737.05 billion in August, up 4.39% compared to 706.07 billion in July.
The Dubai-based exchange Bybit saw its spot trading volume decrease to US126.51 billion in August, down 0.32% from 126.92 billion in July.
OKX posted a spot volume of US109.39 billion in August, experiencing a growth rate at 9.42% compared to 99.97 billion in July.
HTX recorded a spot trading volume of US105.94 billion in August, an increase of 3.14% compared to 102.71 billion in July.
Gate.io, headquartered in the Cayman Islands, had a spot trading volume of US102.4 billion in August, up 46.14% from 70.07 billion in July, making it the biggest growth this month.
Leading US exchange Coinbase had a spot trading volume of US100.09 billion in August, a decline of 3.39% from 103.6 billion in July.
South Korea's Upbit saw its spot volume decrease to US91.21 billion in August, a 19.03% drop from 112.65 billion in July.
Offshore-regulated Kucoin had a spot volume of US53.58 billion in August, a 7.42% rise from 49.88 billion.
Kraken reported a spot volume of US45.77 billion in August, up 11.77% from 40.95 billion in July.
UK FCA-regulated LMAX Digital had a spot volume of US8.43 billion in August, a 9.45% decline from 9.31 billion in July.
