UK FCA Issues a Warning agaist Binance for Unauthorized Service
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Saturday issued a warning against Binance for undertaking regulated activities in the UK without authorization.
As detailed in the official announcement, Binance Markets Limited, a part of Binance Group, is not permitted to undertake any regulated activity in the UK.
Due to the imposition of requirements by the FCA, Binance Markets Limited is not currently permitted to undertake any regulated activities without the prior written consent of the FCA.
No other entity in the Binance Group holds any form of UK authorisation, registration or licence to conduct regulated activity in the UK.
The Binance Group appear to be offering UK customers a range of products and services via a website, Binance.com.
Let's recall that, Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) last Friday issued a warning against Binance for offering cryptocurrency exchange service in the country without registration. This is the second warning FSA has sent to Binance, followed by the first one in March 2018 for the same reason.
