State Street Taps Yvette Hollingsworth Clark as Global Chief Compliance Officer

Fazzaco learned that State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT) has appointed Yvette Hollingsworth Clark as executive vice president and global chief compliance officer.
At State Street, Hollingsworth Clark will oversee compliance activities globally, including designing and implementing structures and processes to drive strong governance and controls, following the principles of effective compliance. Besides, she will also focus on frameworks designed to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and policies concerning financial services regulatory requirements. Reporting to Brad Hu, executive vice president and global head of risk for State Street, Hollingsworth Clark will also be accountable to the Examining and Audit Committee of State Street's Board of Directors.

Hollingsworth Clark brings extensive compliance leadership experience in the financial services industry. Before the new appointment, she worked for Google as head of compliance in their Consumer Trust business. Prior to that, she spent almost 9 years at Well Fargo where she served as executive vice president and chief compliance officer, and regulatory innovation officer with oversight for approximately 8,600 global locations and 1,800 employees. Previously, she also held leadership roles at Barclays Capital and Citigroup after a progressive career in Risk Management, Operations Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime Compliance in the private sector following Senior Examiner and Portfolio Manager roles with US Federal Reserve System.
Hollingsworth Clark earned an MBA in Financial Institutions and Markets from Syracuse University and a bachelor's degree in Finance from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

In the past three months, State Street strengthened its leadership team with several industry veterans. In September, The company named Yie-Hsin Hung as President & CEO of Global Advisors. In addition, Apea Amoa was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Global Advisors in August. Brenda Tsai was tapped as its CMO, EVP in July.
