Women Leadership: Female Executive Moves in 15 Brokers

As the financial industry develops and women become more educated, more of them are pouring into the industry, a so-called "male battleground." We are delighted to find that some females have climbed to the top of a financial company, getting a seat in the core fields occupied by men and becoming a force to be reckoned with in company management and even industry growth. Brokers play a vital role in the current development of the financial industry. Now, let's take a look at the new female leaders of 15 brokers such as CMC Markets and BDSwiss in the past three months!

1. Mette Skou​ - Global Head of Business Partnering at Saxo Bank​

Fazzaco learned that Copenhagen's Saxo Bank has promoted Mette Skou to Global Head of Business Partnering.

Mette has spent more than 14 years at Saxo Bank where she joined as HR Legal Manager in 2008. Later, she was promoted to Deputy Head of Group HR, Senior Manager. Before the new promotion, she was HR Business Partner & Global Head of Employee Relations at the company.

2. Sylvia Zhou - Chinese Marketing Executive at CMC Markets​ APAC & Canada

Sylvia Zhou has been hired as Chinese Marketing Executive at CMC Markets APAC & Canada.

As seen on her linkedIn profile, Sylvia joins CMC Markets from FXTRADING.com, a leading Australian FX broker, where she served as Marketing Coordinator from December 2020 to June 2022. Prior to that, she worked as an intern in China-based Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd for three month.

3. Quyen Bui Ha​ - Country Manager at Zenfinex

Fazzaco learned that Zenfinex, a global leader in brokerage, has selected Quyen Bui Ha to assume the role Country Manager.

Based on her LinkedIn profile, Quyen has already taken on this new position since this March. She joined from AETOS Capital Group, a renowned global leading forex and CFD trading broker, where she served as Institutional Forex Account Manager for nearly two years. Between August 2015 and July 2017, she was Customer Service at NatureForex Ltd., a Japanese - owned forex broker. Previously, Quyen worked at Tricor Group, Asia's leading business expansion specialist, as Advisory.

4. Aleksandra Szelest - Head of Talent Acquisition at IG Group​

Fazzaco learned that IG Group, a global online trading company providing CFDs and forex, has promoted Aleksandra Szelest to Head of Talent Acquisition.

Before this promotion, Aleksandra was Talent Acquisition Manager at IG Group, responsible for bringing the best talent to support business growth of the company globally.

5. Alison Higgins​ - Chief Trading Officer at ADSS

Fazzaco learned that Abu Dhabi-headquartered brokerage ADSS, formerly known as ADS Securities, has announced the appointment of Alison Higgins as the company's Chief Trading Officer.

Alison brings with 18 years of experience at international financial institutions. As seen on her Linkedin profile, prior to joining ADSS, she previously served as Managing Director, Global Head of FX, Rates and Commodities at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), the UAE's largest bank and one of the world's largest financial institutions. She joined the bank in March 2015 as Director.

6. Mehtap Önder - Managing Director, MENA at GCEX​

Digital brokerage, GCEX  (GCEX Group) is expanding into the MENA region with the opening of a Dubai office and the appointment of former Regional Director of CFH Turkey (now Finalto), Mehtap Önder as Managing Director, GCEX MENA.

GCEX's launch in Dubai follows on from the firm being granted provisional regulatory approval by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in Dubai (VARA) in April 2022 to operate as a crypto exchange. The firm is now in the process of applying for a license, in accordance with VARA requirements.

7. Nicole Heinrich​ - Head of Sales and Business Development at BDSwiss​

Fazzaco learned that BDSwiss, one of the leading Forex and CFD investment services providers that has been operating for over a decade, has promoted Nicole Heinrich as its Head of Sales and Business Development.

"I'm happy to announce I will be taking over the business development department at BDSwiss. Costa Joannides has left some difficult shoes to fill however we are more excited then ever to start onboarding new partnership's that will offer mutually beneficial growth for everyone,"Heinrich said.

8. Angela Shi - CFO, APAC at Capital.com

Fazzaco learned that the Forex and CFD broker Capital.com has selected Angela Shi to assume the role of CFO for APAC region.

Angela brings a wealth of industrial experience to the brokerage. Currently, she is a Consulting Director at Advisory Projects and Corporate Strategy. She has held the position of Head of Finance in several eminent financial companies, including Dacxi, which is the world's leading crypto wealth company, Plus500, and StoneX Retail, which is part of StoneX Group and where she was focused on the APAC region.

9. Natale Mastoroudes​ - Chief People Officer at BDSwiss

Fazzaco learned that leading multi-asset financial services firm BDSwiss has promoted Natale Mastoroudes as the company's new Chief People Officer.

As seen on her Linkedin profile, Natale joined BDSwiss in January this year as Head of HR. Before this role, FXPRIMUS procured her as Head of HR from June 2020. Q8 Trade Official utilised her services as HR Manager from July 2019 to June 2020. She also spent more than 7 years with Amdocs.

10. Qout N. Al-Amaireh - Regional Marketing Manager at Admirals

Fazzaco learned that Admirals (formerly known as Admiral Markets), a global retail FX and CFDs broker, has announced the appointment of Qout N. Al-Amaireh as Regional Marketing Manager of its branch in Jordan.

On her Linkedin profile, Qout described herself as an experienced and enthusiastic Digital Marketer with a 3+ years demonstrated background of working in the Forex Markets. Prior to joining Admirals, Qout previously worked at Financial Brokerage, Noor Al Mal, in Jordan between 2019 to 2022. During her tenure of office, she most recently served as Marketing Supervisor who was responsible for developing marketing strategies in line with company objectives. Over the course of her career, Qout also worked at Lafarge.

11. Anamika S.​ - Regional Officer for Thailand, Cambodia & Laos at AximTrade​

Fazzaco learned that AximTrade, an award-winning financial services provider specialising in Forex and CFD trading, has appointed the industry veteran Anamika S. as its Regional Officer for Thailand, Cambodia & Laos, targeting the company's expansion in these three nations, according to a LinkedIn post by AximTrade's Co-Founder Kelvin Tang.

Anamika S. brings extensive expertise and experience in financial services. Before joining AximTrade, she most recently worked at Admirals as its Regional Head, Southeast Asia. Prior to this, she once held positions at Exness as Country Head / Commercial Director TH and TMB Bank PCL as the Head of Sales Management. 

12. Yael Elbaz - Senior Director, Prevention of Financial Crimes at eToro

Fazzaco learned that Israeli social trading multi-asset investment platform eToro has promoted Yael Elbaz to Senior Director, Prevention of financial crimes.

Yael has brought extensive expertise and experience in AML compliance to eToro. She originally joined the company in June 2018 as a EU Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO), then she was promote to Group AMLCO to lead the AML strategy of the group after four years' contribution to its AML responsibilities in the EU. 

13. Susanne Chishti​ - Non-Executive Director at CMC Markets

Fazzaco learned that CMC Markets, the global leader in offering online brokerage business headquartered in London, has announced the appointment of Susanne Chishti as the company's Non-Executive Director, effective from 1 June 2022.

Additionally, Susanne also became a member of the Audit, Nomination, Remuneration and Risk Committees with effect from that date. As seen on her Linkedin profile, Susanne currently serves as CEO of FINTECH Circle and is also a Non Executive Director of Crown Agents Bank, LenderWize and JLG Group PLC, as well as a Advisory Board Member of The British Blockchain Association (BBA).

14. Joanna Moberly - Head of Legal at Saxo Markets UK

Saxo Bank, a leading online financial services provider specializing in online trading and investment, has appointed Joanna Moberly as the new Head of Legal and Company Secretary for its UK subsidiary, Saxo Markets UK. She will be based in London and report to Charles White-Thomson, CEO of Saxo Markets UK.

Joanna brings to the company over ten years of experience in the field of financial law. Prior to joining Saxo Bank, she had worked for nearly 10 years as a lawyer at Lloyds Banking Group, a major UK financial institution, following her stints at Barclays Wealth and a large multinational law firm Dentons.

15. Katina Messinis​ - Head of Senior Account Management Operations at Exness​

Exness, an international multi-asset retail broker, announced the appointment of Katina Messinis as the company's head of senior account management operations. She will be based in the company's Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.

Prior to joining Exness, Katina worked as a Senior Manager and Acting Head of Institutional Sales at ZuluTrade, a Greek fintech company. In 2019, she joined PwC, taking the role of Head of Business Development in Asia (ex. Greater China). Earlier, Katina held a number of positions at multinational law firm Baker McKenzie, responsible for mergers and acquisitions.

16. Riana Chaili - CEO, EMEA at Invast Global

Fazzaco learned that Invast Global, a leading multi-asset brokerage based in Sydney, has announced today the promotion of Riana Chaili to Chief Executive Officer, EMEA.  
Riana joined Invast Global as Managing Director in Cyprus in July 2021. Prior to this, she has spent more than 3 years in IC Markets, where she was Head of RTO first and then Chief Dealer. Previously, Riana served TechFinancials as Head of Brokerage for over 3 years.

17. Daniela Egli​ - CEO Cyprus Office and Group COO at Skilling​

Fazzaco learned that Skilling, a high-growth fintech company focused on CFD trading, has appointed Daniela Egli as CEO Cyprus Office and Group COO, effective from May 2022.

Egli has over 10 years of experience in the finance industry with broad skills in operations and management. Prior to joining Skilling, she served as a Managing Director at Fxview, a leading financial services and CFD brand owned and operated by Charlgate Ltd, which is regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and registered with many regulatory agencies.

18. Olivia Mottershead​ - Senior Sales Executive at LMAX Group​

Fazzaco learned that LMAX Group, the leading independent operator of institutional execution venues for FX and cryptocurrency trading, has promoted Olivia Mottershead as Senior Sales Executive.

Mottershead has extensive experience in sales and business development. As seen on her LinkedIn profile, Mottershead joined LMAX Group in 2021, serving as the company's International Relations Manager.
